February 5, 2025

I am deeply honored to have been elected President of the Society of the Alumni of Bellevue Hospital. For over 60 years, I have studied Bellevue’s history, and I am humbled to have become, in some way, a part of that history. I follow in the footsteps of very distinguished leaders of the Society, and I sincerely thank the membership for their trust, support, and confidence in me. This role is both an exciting opportunity and a great responsibility—one that I accept with enthusiasm and dedication.

As many of you know, I have a collection of nineteenth century photographs of Bellevue and have used them in helping to create some notable television series, films, and documentaries. Some of these images have never been publicly shared. I look forward to showcasing them in some of our monthly Bellevue Minutes, offering glimpses into fascinating visual aspects of Bellevue’s history. I am grateful for this privilege and I eagerly anticipate the year ahead.
